If you're concerned about eating healthy and still want to eat beef, you should give grass fed beef a try. Compared to feed-lot beef that you find in the grocery store, meat from grass-fed beef has less
total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, and calories. It also has more
vitamin
E, beta-carotene, vitamin C, and a number of health-promoting fats,
including
omega-3 fatty acids.
Our beef is as local and grass fed as you can get. The cows are raised on the Stousland Ranch on the Brazos River in Wellborn, TX where the herd has 1000 acres of open pasture to graze. Our select calves have never been treated with hormones, antibiotics or anything else.
Our beef has been processed for resale by Westphalia Meat Market (the closest butcher we could find to process beef for resale and meet all the USDA requirements for food safety). The beef has been dry aged for two weeks prior to being vacuum sealed and flash frozen.
We sell our cuts of beef by the package, and all weights are approximate, but will be within 0.1 lbs depending on the cut.
Your meat order will be delivered in a separate insulated container along with your delivery.
